- In papers filled out by Earl Clarence Bassett in the 1930's and mailed to AHB, he wrote the following, "C.N. Bassett who is now deceased was general passenger agent of B.O.R.R. resided at Baltimore, Indiana and had a town named in California for him. The Town of Bassett, California is a few miles out from Los Angeles. C.N. was a first cousin of my father. Homer D. Bassett has operated a drug store in Indianapolis, Indiana for the past forty years. He had I believe a copy of the family tree.
