(Danielson). April A. Hansen, 64, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Yale New Haven Hospital, surrounded by family. She was born on September 16, 1955 in Norwich, daughter of the late Byron and Claire (Bessette) Kinnie. April earned a bachelor?s degree in education from The University of Connecticut and a master?s degree from Southern Connecticut State University. She worked as a school teacher for over thirty years in the Connecticut School System.
April cherished her time with family and friends over all other pastimes. Especially, the time she was able to share with her two beloved grandchildren.
April is survived by children Judy Hansen McRae, Maegan Hansen, Emily Hansen, and Erich Hansen; grandchildren, Connor and Kendall McRae; brother, Courtland Kinnie; nieces and nephews, Brandon, Brianna, Makayla, and Benjamin Kinnie. She was predeceased by her brother, Sterry Kinnie.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 10:00am at Saints Thomas and Anne Church, Voluntown. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
