Robert Bassett
Calhoun, Kentucky - Robert M. "Bob" Bassett, 86, died Thursday at his home. He retired after 41 years at Chrysler Motor Co. in St. Louis. He was a member and trustee of Calhoun United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Bertha Mae Hill; two half sisters, Mary Frances Freeman of Owensboro and Laura Jane Hunt of Lexington; and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Muster Funeral Home Calhoun Chapel, with burial in Calhoun Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Calhoun United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Robert M. 'Bob' Bassett
Calhoun - Robert M. "Bob" Bassett, 86, of 690 Mocking Bird Avenue, Calhoun, died Thursday, March 23, 1995, at his home. He was born in McLean County, a son of the H.W. "Will" and Claudie Brackett Bassett. He retired after more than 41 years from the Chrysler Motor Company of St. Louis, Missouri, on August 1, 1966. He was a member of Calhoun United Methodist and had served as a church trustee for many years. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Sarah Wilson Bassett Wyatt. Survivors include his wife, Bertha Mae Hill Bassett; two half sisters, Mary Frances Freeman of Owensboro and Laura Jane Hunt of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews. Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in Calhoun Cemetery. Visitation is after 11 a.m. today and 9 a.m. until time of services Sunday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Calhoun United Methodist Church Building Fund. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.
