Margaret L. Giroux (1941 ? 2019) (Picture included)
Margaret "Maggie" L. (Bessett) Giroux, 78, died on April 29, 2019 with her family by her side. Born April 14, 1941 in Holyoke, MA, daughter of Thaddeus R. Bessett and Elizabeth T. (LaBrecque) Bessett-Pulli. She was raised in Holyoke and moved to South Hadley over 50 years ago. Maggie worked as a home health aide for many years. She was a very talented seamstress and loved to work on arts & craft projects. She also adored animals, especially her cats. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Janine Lopes and husband George of Granby and son Peter Giroux of South Hadley. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth Hespelt of South Hadley and brother William Bessett of North Carolina. She leaves five precious grandchildren, Keith, Sam, Hannah, Reagan and Caden and two great grandchildren, Jackson and Leo. She will also be missed by her special niece Heidi and her son Justin, along with her nieces and nephews in Jackman, ME. Peg was preceded in death by her former husband, Roland ?Turk? A. Giroux and a dear companion Donnie Benoit. All services are private and Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, was entrusted with the arrangements.
