- Sally M. Bassett
CANISTEO - Sally M. Bassett, 103, formerly of Bennetts Creek, died Saturday,
July 19, 1997 at the Hornell Gardens Nursing Home.
She served as a midwife for many years in the Greenwood and Canisteo areas.
Survivors include a son, Carroll Bassett; a daughter, Cora Burley of Canisteo;
and a sister, Cora Heckman of Canisteo.
Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the H. P. Smith and
Son, Inc. Funeral Home, Canisteo.
Services will be held at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Burial will be in Bennetts Creek Cemetery, town of Canisteo

Everett B. Osmin
GREENWOOD - Everett B. Osmin of Greenwood died this morning at his home. He
was 61 years old.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bernice Osmin; four sisters, Mrs. Elva Sherman,
Mrs. Sally Bassett, Mrs. Alvin Teribury and Mrs. Lyle Heckman, all of
Greenwood.
Services will be at the family home in Greenwood Monday at 1 p.m. with burial
in Greenwood Cemetery.
