Michelle Rose Dunn (1948 ? 2019) (Picture included)
After a short, but fierce battle with cancer, Michelle Rose Paquette Dunn passed away January 6, 2019, leaving a forever hole in the hearts of her family, friends and all who knew her.
She was born June 25, 1948 to Maurice and Rose (Bessette) Paquette, in Putnam, Connecticut. She graduated from Putnam High and attended Providence Nursing School. She later attended the University of Phoenix and received her bachelor's degree in nursing.
Michelle married her sweetheart, Scott Dunn on December 21, 1968. Michelle and Scott were honored for their commitment & love for each other and for their family just weeks ago at a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration.
Michelle and Scott were inseparable; they loved to golf and hike together spending their summers in Starr Valley, Wyoming and their winters in St. George, Utah
As the 2nd of 7 children, Michelle had a nurturing and compassionate nature, whether taking care of her younger siblings or in her career as an RN. She worked for Community Nursing Service for nearly 40 years. That said, she would definitely consider being a mother, grandma and great grandma as her greatest life accomplishment.
Michelle is survived by her loving husband Scott and their twins, Mark (Carly) and Cheryl (Garrett). Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and affectionately referred to her as "Grandma Slide"- Alexis (Travis), Mallory (Drew), Riley (Ashley), Caleb, Hayden, Henry, Thomas and Nicholas. She also loved her great grandchildren, Norah and Ruby.
She is survived by her siblings, John (Martha), Celeste (Barry), Michael (Patti) and Robin.
Michelle is preceded in death by her father Maurice, mother Rose and brothers Terence, Daniel and Charles.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 26th at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy. (10600 South), South Jordan, UT 84095.
