Myrtle Bass Dimmery
MULLINS - Services for Myrtle Bass Dimmery, 78, will be held at 2 p.m. today, April 16, 2001 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glenn Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Devotion Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church, P.O. Box 414, Mullins, SC 29574.
Mrs. Dimmery died Saturday, April 14, 2001 in Marion County Medical Center after an illness. Born in Dillon County, October 28, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Baston and Marcie Belle Perritte Bass. Mrs. Dimmery was a retired nurse, having worked with the Mullins Hospital for 28 years. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, McRoy Dimmery of the home; sons, LeRoy Dimmery and his wife, Vivian, of Mullins, Eldon Ray Dimmery and his wife, Pat, of Nichols, Wayne Dimmery and his wife, Sabrina, of Mullins; daughters, Peggy Floyd and her husband, Lavern, of Mullins, Linda Belle Sarvis, Nichols, Willa Dean Herrington, Mullins; sister, Rodell Ammons, Mullins; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dimmery was predeceased by a son, Ronnie G. Dimmery.
