Daughter of 2 Pioneers Dies In Janesville
JANESVILLE, Wis. ? Mrs. H.J. Cunningham, 87, lifelong resident of Janesville and descendant of two pioneer Janesville families, died in her home at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Funeral arrangements are being completed at the Overton funeral home.
Surviving are one daughter, Margaret Louise Cunningham, Janesville; one son, Gerald Echlin Cunningham, Johnson, Vt., three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cunningham was the daughter of Joseph C. and Clarissa Bassett Echlin, whose families operated the Bassett and Echlin harness manufacturing company here.
She was graduated from Janesville high school and attended the University of Wisconsin. She married Herbert J. Cunningham May 11, 1892.
Mrs. Cunningham was a member of the First Congregational church, the Woman?s club and the Congregational guild.
