Born on June 13, 1913 in Chestnut Hill, MA, one of nine children of Herbert and Joanna McPhee. She married Horace J. Bassett, moved to New York and had four children, Linda Castagna of Mamaroneck, NY, James H. Bassett of Virginia Beach, VA, Richard S. of Northport, FL and Robert S. of Acton, MA. She leaves 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 am at Most Holy Trinity Church in Mamaroneck on Friday the 4th and a service on Saturday at Bell OeDea Funeral Home in Brookline, MA, with interment to follow in Walnut Hills Cemetery, Brooklin, MA.
