Mary Elizabeth (Chester) Bassett
Mary Elizabeth (Chester) Bassett, of Merrimack, NH, formerly of Colchester,
VT, Reading and Woburn, October 19, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Elton K.
Bassett, Jr.; devoted mother of David Bassett of Brockton, Wayne S. Bassett
and his wife Mary of Merrimack, NH, Sharon E. Bassett and Lorraine Bassett,
both of Lowell; cherished sister of Thomas F. Chester and his wife Veronica of
Bedford and Patricia A. Whynott and her husband Robert of Gloucester. Loving
grandmother of 5, great grandmother of 3 and also survived by several nieces
and nephews. Funeral from the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home, 25
Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.), Reading, Tuesday, October 23 at 9 am
followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill
St., Reading at 10 am. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Funeral Home
Visiting Hours Monday 2-4 & 7-9. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. In lieu
