Mary Anne (Delong) Bessette (1942 ? 2017) (Picture included)
Burlington - Mary Anne (Delong) Bessette, 75, died in Burlington on Dec. 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving and devoted family.
She was born in Colchester on May 20, 1942 the daughter of Francis C. and Lorraine E. (Hebert) Safford. She had been a member of the RVA 514 in Winooski and the VFW Howard Plant Post 782 in Burlington. Mary enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She had a passion for country line dancing and traveling south. She enjoyed her shopping trips and playing bingo with friends.
Mary Anne is survived by her 8 children and their partners, Cheryl Stoll, Donald Francis Jr. and Kim Towsley, Christine Carr, Edmond Francis and Wendy Vanslette, Janet and Chuck Fortune, Kelly and Darren DePaul, Randy and Nichole Delong and Robert Delong Jr.; two sisters, Patti and Donald Robertson and Betty Brosseau; a former husband, Donald Francis Sr.; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces; nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Debra Francis; two husbands, Robert V. Delong Sr. and Gilbert Bessette.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 15 in Resurrection Park Cemetery, 200 Hinesburg Rd., S. Burlington. Contributions in Mary's memory may be made to Hospice of the Champlain Valley, 1110 Prim Rd. Colchester, VT 05446. Arrangements are by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors.
