  Notes	Providence Journal, Rhode Island, Sunday, November 18, 2001 Lauraine A. (Bessette) Dufour LAURAINE A. (BESSETTE) DUFOUR, 95, of the Cottrell Apartments, Pleasant Street, a former machine operator and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, died Friday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Francis X. Dufour. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Joseph and Dianna (Huard) Bessette, she was a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Dufour was a machine operator in several area curtain factories. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, and a former member of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Parish. She was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels for many years. She leaves a son, Francis X. Dufour of Fall River; a daughter, Claire R. Charland of Naples, Fla.; a sister, Germaine Bouchard of Fall River; and six grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. She was the sister of the late Lillian Long, Rene Bessette and Joseph Bessette. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St., with a funeral Mass at 10 in Notre Dame Church, Eastern Avenue. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
