Michael N. Bassett
Michael N. Bassett, 69, Rt. 1, Noble, died last night July 26, 1974 at the Richland Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for four days.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Summers-Marshall Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Everett officiating. Interment will be in Greenhill Cemetery.
Mr. Bassett was a native of Clay County and was the son of Green Bassett and Druscilla Groves Bassett. He was married to Mabel Rose Burgin in Feb. 1942. She preceded him in death on January 19, 1974. He operated a farm in Decker Township for many years and was a member of the South Freedom Church.
He leaves three children, Ivan Bassett of Flora, Mrs. Ruth Lynn of Clay City and David Bassett of Noble; 8 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ivan Bassett of Paris, Mich., Mrs. Lucille Greenly of Scottsville, Mich., Mrs. Bonnie Gaddy of bear Lake, Mich., Mrs. Leona McLaughlin of Flora and Mrs. Marjorie McGrady of Freemont, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters; Mrs. Gladys Goodman, Miss Lou Bassett, Miss Victoria Bassett, two brothers, Robert Bassett and an infant brother.
