Henry G. Bassett, Burrillville
HENRY G. BASSETT, 84, of Wallum Lake Road, died Thursday at the Eleanor Slater Hospital, Zambarano Unit. He was the husband of the late Lucy (White) Bassett.
Born in Providence, a son of the late William and Amelia (Roberts) Basett, he lived in Burrillville for 15 years, previously living in Cranston and Providence.
Mr. Bassett had previously worked at the former Atlantic Mills.
He had served in the R.I. Army National Guard from 1932 to 1937.
He leaves two sisters, Emma F. Greene of Providence and Esther Farcasso of Coventry; a brother, William Bassett of Warwick; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Robert and John Bassett.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
