Nathaniel Bassett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bassett, born October 28, 1867, and died July 29, 1938. In 1892 he married Maria Mayhill, and they had 1 daughter, Bessie, who died at the age of 6 years. 20 years ago he united with the Church of Christ. He spent most of his life in the community surrounding Kinmundy. He leaves to mourn his wife, 1 stepson, Albert, and 8 grandchildren. Services were held from the Christian Church in Salem with interment there.
