Kay passed away on Monday, March 20th after a long illness at the age of 65.
Kay was born in Denver to Richard Eugene Bassett and Doris Evelyn (Wimberly) Bassett on 7/16/1957. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Edgewater, CO. She received an associate degree from Red Rocks Community College and bachelor and Master's degrees from the University of Colorado at Denver.
She is survived by her father, Sister Susan and brother-in-law Gary Elliott, her nephews Richard James and Alexander Elliott, her niece Tiffany Elliott and grand-niece Jaymee Elliott.
