SOUTHBURY - Gary Robert Bessette, 59, of Southbury, died Thursday, Oct 19, 2017, at Danbury Hospital.
Gary was born in Waterbury, August 30, 1958, son of Carmen M (LeBlanc) Bessette of Watertown and the late Robert C. Bessette. He was a graduate of Watertown High School and attended Eastern Conn. State University. He was vice-president of Connecticut Die Cutting Services and a member of the Waterbury Elks Club BPOE #265. He enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling, and the beach.
Besides his mother, he leaves his daughter, Amanda Werner and her husband, Kurt, of Winsted; two sons, Mitchell Bessette of Woods Hole, Mass., and Drew Bessette of Portland, Maine; his brother, Kenneth Bessette and his wife, Victoria, of Woodbury; his sister, Roberta Ciccio and her husband, Joe, of Florida; two grandchildren, Beau and Lilly; and several nieces and nephews.
In celebration of his life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tues., Oct 24th, 10 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St., Watertown. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Private burial of ashes will follow. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., Watertown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shiners' Hospital for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
