She was the wife of the late Earle F. Bassett. Mrs. Bassett was born in Harwich and attended Harwich schools. She worked as an operator for New England Telephone for 30 years, retiri 1970. She was a lifelong resident of Harwich until moving to East Longmeadow in 1993. Mrs. Bassett is survived by three sons, David A. Bassett of East Longmeadow, Phillip M. Bassett of Riverview, Fla., and Forrest E. Bassett of South Yarmouth; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildre Graveside services will be private.
