Former hospital worker; avid Red Sox fan
HYANNIS - Eunice Almira (Bassett) Henry, 77, a former hospital worker,
died yesterday at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape & Islands in
Sandwich.
Mrs. Henry was born, raised and educated in Harwich.
She worked in the housekeeping department at Cape Cod Hospital for a
number of years and also was employed as a chambermaid for the Hyannis Travel
Inn.
In the early 1980s, Mrs. Henry moved to West Palm Beach, Fla. where
she was employed in the housekeeping department at the Good Samaritan
Hospital. She moved back to Hyannis in the mid-1980s.
Mrs. Henry loved country music and was an avid Red Sox fa
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth W. Bassett of Burke, Va. a
Robert B. Henry of Hyannis, one daughter, Judith L. Henry of Haynnis, four
grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the John-Lawrence
Funeral Home, 3378 Falmouth Road (Route 28) Marstons Mills, followed by burial
in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visiting hours are 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow in the funeral home.
