  Notes	Paper unknown, 1965 Mike Bassett Funeral services were held Feb. 24, 1965 at Ackerman for Mike Bassett, 3-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Bassett of Mantachie. Young Bassett died Feb. 23 at the Tupelo Community Hospital of pneumonia. Mr. and Mrs. Bassett and their family had been living in Mantachie for a year, since Mr. Bassett accepted the directorship of the Mantachie High School Band. In addition to his parents, other survivors included two brothers and a sister, L.P. Bassett, Jr., and John David Bassett and Miss Linda Bassett, all of the home.
