      KEARNEY ? Marguerite L. Richardson, 99, of Kearney died Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at Mother Hull Home.

      Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Main officiating. Burial will be at Kearney Cemetery.

      Visitation will be one hour before services Wednesday at the church.

      Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney is in charge of arrangements.

      Marguerite was born on Dec. 10, 1915, to Vernon and Clara (Nye) Bass in Lancaster, Wis. She moved to Kearney with her parents when she was 3 months old and lived in Kearney her entire life.

      In 1937, she married Harold D. Richardson. Harold died on May 6, 1991.

      Survivors include her sons, Fred Richardson and his wife, Sharon, of Lincoln, Jim Richardson of Longmont, Colo., and Max Richardson and his wife, Jan, of Kearney; grandchildren Brad and his wife, Michel, of Kansas City, Kan., Chris and his wife, Susan, of Omaha, Erika Moore and her husband, Pat, of Kearney, Julia, Laura, Jase and Aaron Richardson of Longmont, Cecilia Baumgardner and her husband, Zack, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Will Richardson of Kearney; and 10 great-grandchildren.

      Marguerite was an active volunteer for the American Red Cross and Hospital Service league for more than 40 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Circle 8 and was always willing to help with funerals, weddings and meals at the church. She had a love for nature, the Platte River, beautiful sunsets and the changing seasons. Her greatest joy was seeing her grandchildren and getting to know her great-grandchildren. She was a loving, caring person who will be missed by all who knew her, but especially by her family.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, a sister and one granddaughter.
