Michael A. Bessette
Mess Specialist Senior Chief, Surface Warfare, Michael A. Mike Bessette, 49, of the 3900 block of Terrywood drive passed away March 04, 2007.
A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Mike retired from the Navy after 20 years of service in 1996.
Mike was predeceased by his father Ernest M. Bessette.
Mike leaves to cherish his memories forever his wife Esther Lee Bessette, two sons Christopher Michael Bessette and Vincent Anthony Bessette, his mother Rachel Bessette, three sisters Cynthia Patton, Michele Scaglione, and Lynda R. Bessette, three grandchildren Jocelyn Elizabeth Bessette, Jaelyn Nicole Bessette, and Nathaniel Bessette, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers & sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm Monday, March 12, 2007 at the Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel with Chaplain Randy Russell presiding.
Interment will follow in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 3pm to 5pm Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Beach Funeral services, Inc., 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach.
All non-military relatives and friends wishing to attend must register with the funeral home at 757.499.8999 by 2pm Friday in order to gain access to the Naval Base.
