Louise Ruth White (Picture included)
GRANVILLE, N.Y. - Louise Ruth White, 75, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at her home, surrounded by family.
She was born Sept. 7, 1941, in Rutland, Vermont, the daughter of Louis and Florence (Foster) Martelle.
She was a member of Modern Woodmen of America in Wells, Vermont.
Mrs. White enjoyed lawn and yard sales, baking breads and pies, fishing on the Indian River, and in 1991, swimming the length of Lake St. Catherine. She chaired the annual Hee Haw Show in Middletown Springs, Vermont.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Roger White; six children, Claire Jamerson, of Argyle, Carol Bassette, of South Carolina, Raymond Bassette, of Massachusetts, Connie Bassette, of Rhode Island, Cynthia Bassette, of Florida, and Christine Hale, of West Rupert, Vermont; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Lurvey, of West Pawlet, Vermont.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, in Mettowee Valley Cemetery in Pawlet, Vermont.
Arrangements are by Robert M. King Funeral Home in Granville.
