Mabel Bassett Marbaker
Mabel I. (Bassett) Marbaker, 84, of Canton, PA, passed away on Wednesda
March 22, 1995 at the Towanda Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 7,
1910 in Blossburg, Tioga County, PA, a daughter of the late Jay P. and
Georgianna (Carl) Bassett. Mrs. Marbaker was a homemaker and widow of the late
Harry E. Marbaker Sr. who died in 1965. Mabel is survived by a daughter-in-
law, Bertha B. Marbaker of Canton; seven grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Richard Denkenberger of Alba; sisters-in-law,
Ruby Marbaker of Binghampton, NY and Nellie Bassett of Granville Summit;
several nieces and nephews, special friends, Dora Reynard of Canton and Julie
Burke of Troy. She was predeceased by her husband and sons, Ronald in 1982 and
Harry E. Jr. in 1989. Funeral services were held at the Morse & Kleese Funeral
Home in Canton on March 25 with interment to be in Beaver Meadwos Cemetery,
Laceyville, PA (TGR, Thursday, March 30, 1995).
