Mary J. Bessette died unexpectedly at home on April 13, 2017. She was born June 27, 1953 to Francis (Nookie) and Delina Myers of Burlington. Mary enjoyed working as a sales associate at Macys.
She is survived by her daughter Ann Bessette; her son Merton Bessette Jr. and his wife Annette and their two children Saige and Sophie. She is also survived by Aidan Miller whom she has raised since birth; her niece Laura Mercure and Laura's children Amber and Dylan; and Mary's best friend Carleen Young. Mary also leaves many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband Butch Bessette; and her sister Gloria.
Visiting hours will be from noon to 1 p.m. at Boucher & Pritchard Funeral Home, 85 North Winooski Ave., Burlington on Monday April 24. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Flowers may be sent to Boucher & Pritchard.
