BESSETTE, 46, of Thomas Leighton Boulevard, an electrician for Amtrak, died Saturday in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. Born in Providence a son of John E. Bessette Sr. and Mary E. (Cunningham) Bessette, both of Cumberland, he was a lifelong Cumberland resident. Mr. Bessette was an electrician for Amtrak in Providence and Boston for 26 years, and a member of IBEW Local 674. He was a member of the Cumberland Athletic Club. Besides his parents, he leaves four brothers, John E. Bessette Jr., and Michael and Richard Bessette, all of Cumberland, and Thomas Bessette of Plymouth, Mass., and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 8 a.m. from J.J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd., Route 122, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Patrick Church, Broad Street. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
