Mr. A.J. Bass Buried At Mount Zion Church Monday Afternoon
Funeral services for Mr. Andrew J. Bass, who died in the Spanish-American Veteran's hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee last Friday, were held at the Mount Zion church in this county Monday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. Rev. J. E. Townsend conducted the services and the Masons were in charge of the burial. Adams had charge of the arrangements. Mr. Bass was fifty-seven years of age at the time of his death and for many years lived in Dexter. During the past year or so he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. J. T. McLaughlin in Deland, Florida until he went to Johnson City for treatment about two months ago. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. J. T. McLaughlin, Deland, Florida; Mrs. J. M. Lemon, Florida; three sons, J. T., E. B., and C.C. Bass all of Tingle.
