Annie Ruth Bassett
SILOAM SPRINGS, ARK. - Annie Ruth Bassett, 80, resident of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Tuesday, September 8, 2015, in Cincinnati, Ark.
Born December 23, 1934, in Clarke County, Georgia, she was the daughter of Aucy Archer and Nannie (Blalock) Archer. Annie married Verlin Leroy Bassett in Yuma, Ariz., in July of 1959. She worked for Clark Industries in Springdale for many years. Annie was a member of the Siloam Springs Bible Church and taught at the Siloam Springs Literacy Council. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verlin; one infant son; and one sister, Jean Wilson.
Survivors include three children, Steve Bassett, Yucca Valley, Calif., Becky Wing, Cincinnati, Ark., and Helen Ketcher, Livingston, Mont.; seven grandchildren, Terri Osborn, Stephen Wing, Christopher McKenna, Jeff Ketcher, Jeremy Ketcher, Stephen Bassett Jr., and Thomas Bassett; numerous great-grandchildren; five brothers, Edward Archer, Denny Archer, Ray Archer, Charles Archer, and Mike Archer; and three sisters, Jeanette Jacobs, Janie Hart, and Nancy Wood.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 12, at Siloam Springs Bible Church, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Pastor Bruce Boehmer, Brother Wayne Thomas, and Mr. Ron Hollabaugh officiating.
