Jason Kyle Bassett, 27, of Kalamazoo, died January 8, 2012.
He was born June 26, 1984, the son of Steve K. and Jeanne (Quick) Bassett in Kalamazoo.
Jason graduated from Delton Kellogg High School and worked as an automotive detailer.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Steve and Theresa Bassett of Battle Creek; mother, Jeanne Bassett of Richland; brother, Ryan (Elizabeth) Bassett of Galesburg; nieces, Kadence and Kennedy Bassett of Galesburg; half-brother, J. Kevin Bassett of Plainwell; maternal grandparents, Sam and Jackie Nay of Venice, Florida; paternal grandmother, Wilma Bassett of Lakeland, Florida and aunt, Pat (Bob) Snowberger of Lakeland, Florida.
Jason was an artist and enjoyed sketching and drawing. He also liked motorcycles and motocross racing and he loved listening to music.
The family will schedule a memorial service at a later date.
