Bassett, age 64, of Hebbardsville, KY passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, February 2, 2023. George was a lifelong resident of Hebbardsville, KY. George was a kind and loving man, but also a man of great intellect. There was nothing George could not fix, oftentimes he could be found lending a hand to many of the residents of ?The Ville.? He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mildred Bassett; sister Cyntia Hollifield. George leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Robin Bassett and brothers John (Alice), Bruce (Terri) and Fred (Deanna), as well as many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his three children, Joseph Wayne Bassett, Patricia Rae Holaday (Michael) and Tiffany Anne Marie Bassett, grandchildren Michael, Miranda, Gage and Owen Holaday, Gabriel Clements and Jaxson Bassett. Services for George will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Sandy Watkins Park. Simple Cremation Evansville is entrusted with care.
