TESSIER, LEONARD B., 81 died Friday January 6 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Lionel and Annette (Bessette) Tessier.
Len was a Navy Veteran and retired from the Bank Of America after 48 years of employment. He volunteered for the R.I. Food Bank and was treasurer of the R.I. Reds Historical Society.
He is survived by one daughter Donna Tessier of Pawtucket, one son Michael Tessier of Warwick, three grandsons Jesse and Michael Tessier and Ryan Wilk, two sisters, Rita Bouthillier of Runford and Madeleine Boudreau of Attleboro. He was the dear companion of Carolyn Faubert of North Smithfield. He was the brother of the late Laurent Tessier.
His funeral will be held Saturday January 14th at 9:00 am from the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux and Son 1042 Newport Avenue Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St John Paul II Church (St. Cecelia's) Central Avenue Pawtucket. Calling Hours Friday from 5 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the R.I. Food Bank or R.I. Reds Historical Society would be greatly appreciated.
