Lionel G. Tessier ? Pawtucket
LIONEL G. TESSIER, 84, of Norfolk Avenue, employed for 30 years in supervisory and managerial positions at the Okonite Company, formerly of East Providence, before retiring in 1974, died yesterday at the Hattie Ide Chaffee Nursing Home, East Providence, after a one-month illness. He was the husband of Annette (Bessette) Tessier.
Born in Garthby Station, Canada, he was a son of the late Moe and Zerila (DeBlois) Tessier. He lived in Pawtucket since 1932.
Mr. and Mrs. Tessier celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary last June. He was a member of the Union of Prayer and Senior Citizens of St. Cecilia Parish. He also was a member of the Senior Citizens of Notre Dame Parish, Central Falls, and L'Union St. Jean de Baptiste d'Amerique.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Leonard B. Tessier of Pawtucket and Larry Tessier of Falmouth, Mass.; two daughters, Rita F. Bouthillier of East Providence and Madeleine S. Boudreau of Pawtucket; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. at the Darlington Mortuary of L. Heroux and Son, 1042 Newport Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Cecilia Church, Central Avenue. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
