Miss Blalock is engaged to Donald Samuel Bass
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C Spvien of Piedmont announce the engagement of their daughter, Cherry Payne Blalock, to Donald Samuel Bass, son of Mrs. Mozelle Bass and the late Calvin Bass of Piedmont.
Miss Blalock is the daughter of the late Francis Edward Blalock of Birmingham and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Payne of Piedmont and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Blalock if Iverness, Fla.
She is 1972 graduate of Piedmont High School and is presently attending Jacksonville State Unviersity.
Mr. Bass is the grandson of Mrs. Lila Ray and the late Sam Ray of Piedmont and the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Bass of Oklahoma.
A 1971 graduate of Spring Garden High School, he is presently attending Gadsden Trade School and is employed by Lawtex Corporation in Piedmont.
The wedding is planned for Friday, March 9, at First United Methodist Church in Piedmont.
