Chester Bass of Weirton, West Virginia, passed away on October 6, 2023. He was born on July 19, 1951, to the late Chester Bass Sr. and Evelyn Goins.
Mr. Bass was college-educated and retired from Weirton Steel with 47 years as an electrician. He enjoyed going to Big Red football games, spending time with his family, and jogging.
Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his father Chester Bass Sr., his mother Evelyn Goins, his loving Stepmother Lucy Bass, Stepfather Elmer Goins, and his daughter Monica Bass. Chester will be fondly remembered by his wife Terri Bass, and his children Kesha (Steve) Ruschel, Tiffany (Charles) Reed, and Bonnie (Ja'wan Bishop) Jones, His grandchildren, Jamari Bass (who he raised), Madison Reed, Jacob and Seth Ruschel, his grand dog Drizzy, and many family and friends.
Visitation is on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Vinson Mortuary, 711 North 5th Street, Steubenville, Ohio.
On Thursday, October 12, 2023, visitation will start at 11:00 a.m. at Mt Carmel Community Baptist Church 708 North 5th Street, Steubenville, Ohio, with the service to follow at noon.
