Cyrial U. Bassett Sr.
Mr. Cyrial U. Bassett, Sr. – A native of Plateau, AL and a life long resident of Mobile, a veteran of the Korean War United States Army passed this life into glory on Friday, June 12, 1992 at his home. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Mrs. Llorencia Ridgeway Bassett, Mobile; three sons, Cyrial U. (Sheila) Bassett, Jr. Brooklyn, NY, Charles J. Bassett and Joseph Anthony Bassett, both of Mobile; two daughters, one devoted Eleanor D. Bassett (Vincent) Reese and Bernadette Sumas (Aaron) Hudson, both of Mobile; one loving father-in-law, Julian Ridgeway; two sisters, Didrea Anderson and Donna Section, both of Houston, TX; one brother, Darrel C. (Angela) Bassett, Mobile; four brother-in-law, Julian (Hattie) Ridgeway, Kelly (Annette) Ridgeway, both of Brooklyn, NY, Leonard (Barbara) Ridgeway, New York, NY and Theodosia Ridgeway, Mobile; five sisters-in-law, Alberta Ridgeway Brown, Flushing Queens, NY, Geneva Ridgeway Hardy and Cleodis Ridgeway, both of Mobile and Irmatine Ridgeway Marshall, Brooklyn, NY; ten loving grandchileren, three aunts, Thelma Williams, New York, NY, Lula (Simmie) Grahams and Theresa (Joel) Williams, both of Mobile; two uncles, Rev. Benjamin F. (Margaret) Howze and Robert (Shirley) Howze, both of Mobile, a host of nieces and nephews, once devoted, Annie Thomas, Mobile; one devoted cousin, the Most Rev. Joseph Lawson Howze, Bishop Diocese, Biloxi, MS, and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from the Reese Funeral Home on Friday, June 19, 1992 after 5 PM. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held from the Greater Pine Grove AME Church on Saturday, June 20, 1992 at 11 AM with Rev. A.T. Days, officiating minister. Interment will follow in the Lawn Haven Cemetery. Arrangements by Reese Funeral Home, 925 Bessemer Ave, Prichard, AL Police Escort for all funerals.
