Dion-Bassett
Miss Rita Dion, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dion of 98 Courtland street, Bridgeport, Ct., and Lawrence Bassett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Lempke of 9 North East street, were married this morning in Meter Dolorosa church, Rev. Leonard Pakulski performing the single-ring service. Attendants were Miss Doris Davey of Springfield and Edgar Dion of Bridgeport.
When the couple return from New York city they will live at 13 North East street. Mrs. Bassett was educated in the local school and is employed by Kesnow brothers. Mr. Bassett was also educated in the local schools and is employed at the Livingston mills.

Lawrence Bassett
Lawrence Bassett, 54, of Holyoke, Mass., died Friday in his home. Services will take place at a time to be announced in the Messier funeral home, 290 Chestnut street, Holyoke. Burial will be announced. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rita Bassett of Fairfield; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Fradetta and Mrs. Kathleen Martins, both of Fairfield; a brother, Wilson Bassett of Massachusetts; eight grandchildren.
