Entered Into Eternal Rest Monday, July 1, 1996
Sandwich - Edward Albert Kane, 81, of Sandwich, passed away on Monday, July 1, 1996 at the Hillside Healthcare Center in Yorkville. He was born on July 17, 1914 in Venice, California, the son of Edward and Elizabeth Kane.
Edward was united in marriage to his former wife, Mary, the mother of his three children, Alice, Don and Angela. He was then united in marriage on May 25, 1994 to the former Mary Kathleen (Kurtz) Montroy. He was, for many years, a carpenter working in the construction industry. Edward was stationed at Pearl Harbor with the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of Sandwich; three children, Alice M. Martin of Evansville, Indiana, Don A. (Anne E.) Kane of Olympia, Washington and Angela C. (Terry) Priest of Evansville, Indiana; one step-daughter, Joyce Kane of Hammond, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Kristine M. and Daniel W. Kane, Nick, Sam, Adam and Benjamin Priest, Jason, Jordan and Sean Martin; one brother, George Kane; as well as, one sister, Corrine.
