Nancy (Dapo) Robinson
Age: 58 ? Burlington
Nancy M. Robinson, 58, went to join our Lord in Heaven on Wed., Sept. 14, 2016 at Vermont Respite House in Williston.
Nancy was born in Burlington on July 9, 1958 to Raymond and Helen (Bessette) Dapo. She was an avid bingo player and loved casino times. Nancy was a tireless and devoted volunteer, especially when it came to seniors. Nancy along with her sister Debbie ran a local bingo that benefited a local senior center and another one for St. Mark's Church. She was on the HomeShare-Vermont Board of Directors for many years. In 2004, she received the Governor's Award for volunteer service. Nancy also ran her own business, Little Roger's Trucking Co., with her son, Jessie for many years. Nancy has been saving people most of her life even at the age of 5 Nancy saved a little baby's life from drowning in pool. She is a guardian angel to many. She was loved by all who knew her, she would take the shirt off her back to help anyone.
She leaves 3 children: Heather and Jessie Robinson of Burlington, and Ashton Metevier of Ft. Knox, KY. Her life revolved around her grandchildren: Na'ani, Mariposa and Sattva Robinson and Evelyn Metevier. She also leaves 2 sisters: Debra Perrault and husband, Ronald of Colchester, Pamela Maple of Winooski and her brother, Marcel Charbonneau of Burlington and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents, Raymond Dapo and Helen Dapo-Charbonneau, she was predeceased by her brothers: George, Donald, Larry and Roger Dapo.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Heineburg Senior Center, 14 Heineburg Rd, Burlington from 6:30-9p.m. on Mon., Sept. 19th. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor her memory may be made to HomeShare-VT, 412 Farrell St., So. Burlington, VT 05403. Elmwood-Meunier assisted with the arrangements.
