Professor Arrives
Dr. G.C. Bassett to Begin New Duties Next Fall
Dr. G.C. Bassett of Boston, Mass., recently elected associate professor of psychology in the Arts and Science College of the University of Kentucky is in Lexington and he will take up his duties in September. Doctor Bassett comes here from California, having spent the past year in special consultation work. He is an authority on social and economic phases of psychology.
He will conduct a class on ?Social Phases of Psychology? during the next school year at the university. He received his doctor?s and Ph.D. degrees from Johns Hopkins University, Worchester, Mass., and during his career has been associated with the Carnegie Institution, Washington, D.C., University of Pittsburg, Dartmouth College and Leland Stanford University. He is well known as a lecturer or college or college community problems and has conducted a number of mental hygiene clinics.
Doctor Bassett is accompanied by his wife. They will make their home at 161 Boll Court, West, and will be joined in the fall by their daughter Miss Elizabeth Bassett.
