Edward N. Jordan (includes picture)
Edward N. Jordan passed away on July 8, 2006 at his home in Lacey, Washington
after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 98. Edward was born in
march of 1908 in Bickleton, Washington to Henry W. Jordan and Elizabeth
(White) Jordan. Edward married Alice Bassett in June of 1941 in Pullman,
Washington. They shared a lifelong love of golf. Janet, their first child, was
born in 1943, Ross in 1945, and Richard in 1949. Edward and Alice lived in
California for many years, where Edward established "Jordan's Appliances". The
business will celebrate its 60th anniversary next year. They returned to
Washington in 1986. Edward enjoyed fishing, panning for gold, picking
huckleberries and blackberries, and taking long walks. Edward is survived by
his wife, three children, and three grandchildren. There will be no funeral or
memorial service, but memorial donations may be made to Providence
Sound Home Care and Hospice.
