- Estelle S. (Bessette) Blanchete
Estelle S. (Bessette) Blanchet, 92, of East Longmeadow died Wednesday June 8, 2006 at Redstone Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Antonio Blanchet and Roland Beauvais.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late William and Evelina (Lague) Bessette, she had lived in Southbridge for 20 years before returning to live in New Bedford in 1990. She had lived in East Longmeadow for the past six years.
She was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church in New Bedford.
Mrs. Blanchet was formerly employed as a stitcher for Colonial Textile Company for many years until her retirement.
She was a former member of the Dartmouth Senior Citizens.
Survivors include two daughters, Lorraine Griffith of Enfield, CT, and Jeanne McGrath and her husband Felix of Westfield; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Ronald Beauvais, mother-in-law of the late Leo Griffith Jr., and sister of the late Normand and Raymond Bessette, Beatrice Beauvais and Jeannette Winterbottom.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
