Bessette, 93, of 492 Smith St., a registered pharmacist who worked for Hayes Drugstore and Forcier's Pharmacy, both in Pawtucket, until retiring in 1979, died Monday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Florence N. (Bucklin) Bessette. Born in Canada, he was a son of the late Napoleon and Marie Louise (Bessette) Bessette. Mr. Bessette was a 1927 graduate of the former Rhode Island College of Pharmacy, now part of the University of Rhode Island. Besides his wife he leaves a niece, Cecile Smith of Duxbury. He was brother of the late Leopold and Romeo Bessette. The funeral Mass will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Mark's Church, Stanley Street. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
