East Providence ? Bertha L. Bessette
BERTHA L. BESSETTE, 81, of 2 Main St., Riverside, a watch inspector for the Speidel Corp. for 11 years before retiring in 1980, died yesterday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice In-patient Care Center in Providence. She was the wife of Eugene H. Bessette.
Born in Attleboro, Mass., a daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (LaFeleche) Delude, she lived in Riverside for 55 years.
Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Claire Aul of Warwick and Judy Bessette of Riverside; a sister, Cora Metivier of Pawtucket; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Theresa Ziobrowski, and the sister of the late Arthur, Walter, Albert, Charles Delude and Alice Chicione.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
