Woonsocket ? Emelie Bessette
EMELIE BESSETTE, 80, of 350 Carrington Avenue, a housekeeper and domestic employee who retired in 1977, died yesterday at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket Unit. She was the wife of Alexander H. Bessette.
Born in Ilis de Madeleine, in the Province of Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Adeline (LeBlanc) Deveault.
She was a member of the Franco American War Veterans Auxiliary and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Denis Bessette of Woonsocket and Patrick Bessette of North Smithfield. She leaves one sister, Yvonne Delarge of Montreal, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in St. Agatha's Church on Joffree Avenue. Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham, Mass.
