Jane (Lowe) Bassett
Jane (Lowe) Bassett, of Walker, Minn., and formerly of Mankato, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Sept. 5, 1946, to Vern and Patricia Lowe. She attended school in the Mankato area. She married William Bassett Aug. 26, 1974. She worked for School District 77 for many years before moving to Walker in 1998, where she worked for Gramma Jo's before retiring in 2003. She enjoyed cooking, going to garage sales and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband William of Walker; three daughters, Heather (Terry) Dahl of Albuquerque, N.M.; Billie Rose of Mankato; and Andrea (Eric) DeRosier of Brainerd; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Kay Dauffenbach of Mankato; four brothers, Larry (Pat), Marty (Linda) and Billy (Jan), all of Mankato; and Jeep (Diane) of Kasota; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two daughters and one sister.
Funeral services were held May 31 at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato. Interment was in Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
