Sadie V. Bessette
Sadie V. Bessette, 75, of 45 Mawney St., co-owner with her husband of several restaurants in New Hampshire and Massachusetts for 26 years before retiring in 1973, died Saturday at Kent County Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Romeo O. Bessette.
Born in Gorham, N.H., she was a daughter of the late John and Rosalie (Matiscki) Skaradoski. Mrs. Bessette lived in East Greenwich since November. She previously lived in Fitchburg, Mass., and Berlin, N.H.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Arlene B. Dunn of Brielle, N.J., and Anita B. Trainor, with whom she made her home; two sisters, Julia Symes of Stoneham, Mass., and Regina McKean of West Hartford, Conn.; and nine grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Fourth Avenue. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fitchburg, Mass.
