Norbert N. Deslaurier (Picture included)
Norbert N. Deslaurier, 98, of Hartford, beloved husband of Ida (Boccucci) Deslaurier for 76 years, died Monday, May 2, 2016. Norbert was born in Hartford, a son of the late Joseph P. and Cleas (Bessette) Deslaurier and was a lifelong resident of the city. He was a 75 year member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree and a faithful and active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Besides his wife Ida, he is survived by two sons Norbert N. Deslauriers, Sr., of South Windsor and Matthew M. Deslaurier, of Hartford, his grandsons Norbert N. Deslauriers, Jr. and his wife Amy, Dominick E. Deslauriers and granddaughter Janelle Deslauriers, five great-grandchildren, Olivia, Nicole, Gabriella, Chloe and Emma, a daughter-in-law Gail Deslauriers and many nieces and nephews. Norbert was pre-deceased by a son, Joseph Deslauriers. Norberts funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. from Fisette-Batzner Funeral Home, at Newington Memorial at 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 79 New Park Ave., Hartford. Interment will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Fisette-Batzner.
