Charles A. Bessette
Charles A. Bessette, 76, of 548 Kenyon Ave., a self-employed produce dealer for 25 years before retiring in 1958, died yesterday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Providence. He was the husband of Marie-Rose (Martin) Bessette.
Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Aldei and Beatrice (Desmarais) Bessette. He had lived in Pawtucket most of his life.
Mr. Bessette was an Army veteran of World War II.
Besides his wife he leaves a brother, Roland Bessette of Central Falls; and four sisters, Theresa Medeiros of Central Falls, Lillian Letendre and Jeanne Thomas, both of Pawtucket, and Clare LaPalme of Attleboro, Mass.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8 a.m. from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Leo the Great Church, Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
