Anna Bessette
Anna Bessette, 91, of 50 Mann St., an employee with the Woonsocket RSVP for 10 years before retiring, died yesterday at the St. Francis Nursing Home, Woonsocket. She was the widow of Lucien Bessette.
Born in St. Simon, Quebec, a daughter of the late Pierre and Cedulie (DeBlois) Brodeur, she was a resident of Bellingham for two years, formerly living in Woonsocket.
She was a member of the St. Anne Sodality at Assumption Church and the Bellingham Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Bessette leaves six sisters, Mrs. Cecile Dibeault of Woonsocket, Mrs. Alice Bourre of Bellingham, Mrs. Blanche Benoit of North Smithfield, Mrs. Yvonne Guilbert of Point Judith, and Mrs. Simone Bourre in Florida.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 S. Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at Assumption Church, Moody Street, at 10. Burial will be in Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket.
