Francis M. Bessette
Francis M. Bessette, 70, of Huntington Towers, Benedict Street, a security guard for the Bulova Watch Co., Providence, for 10 years before retiring in 1982, died Monday at home. He was the husband of Johanna (Lund) Bessette. His first wife was the late Eileen H. (Bessette) Bessette.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Joseph W. and Esther M. (Draper) Bessette, he lived in East Providence for 20 years before moving to Providence in 1982.
Mr. Bessette previously worked for the former Royal Electric Co., Pawtucket, for 10 years. He had also been manager of Kiddieland at Crescent Park before its closing.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, David M. Bessette of Warren and Steven R. Bessette of Cranston; a daughter, Gail H. McVeigh of Warwick, and three granddaughters.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a service at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Post Road, Warwick, at 10. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
